The Adventure begins

You may wonder how our adventure begins. Once Greg and I got through the wedding and all the holidays we decided it was time to start looking for a larger place. We were outgrowing my little house on North Street and so the search for a new home began in January of 2008. We were so lucky that our awesome wedding officiant was also a real estate agent. So we contacted her and asked her if she would like to help us. She said "Of Course!" And so I began the online searching for interesting properties. Greg and I spent a Sat. doing a drive by of all the properties that interested us. Well we narrowed it down to just a few places. So Michelle got us an appt. to see this great old house. At that point we had no idea of the history of this house. The house was listed as a fixer upper and we had no idea what to expect. Well the listing was right but we saw what I am sure many other people missed. We saw the beautiful wide old trim, the history, the field stone basement, the nice size yard. We also saw the 70's influences like brown paneling everywhere, fake stone paneling in the kitchen and the lovely drop ceilings in most of the rooms. But some how we knew that even though it was going to be a lot of work that this house had found us and it was meant to be ours. It may seem weird but we both just knew that this was our house. I think somehow that the historical owners were someplace looking out for this house and knew we would take amazing care of it and love it like they had when they orginally built it.
